The State Duma adopted a law on the abolition of mandatory technical inspection for personal cars of Russians

 The deputies of the State Duma adopted in the third reading a bill on the abolition of mandatory technical inspection for personal motor transport. This is reported on the Duma website.

According to the document, exemption from technical inspection is provided for passenger cars and motorcycles used by Russians only for personal purposes.

In addition, the inspection will remain mandatory for taxis and vehicles that transport passengers, as well as for personal vehicles used for official purposes.

In early November, it became known that the State Duma deputies adopted a bill on the abolition of mandatory inspection of personal vehicles in the first reading. It is planned that the new rules will come into force in 2022.
