The Central Bank does not plan to introduce new reporting on transfers between individuals for banks. The regulator will collect depersonalized information at the risk of using banks for illegal operations of online casinos and bookmakers, the press service of the Central Bank reported.
"The Bank of Russia does not plan to introduce new reporting for credit institutions to monitor transactions of individuals. They relate to countering payments made by illegal businesses to illegal online casinos and financial pyramid schemes," the press service said (quoted by TASS).
Earlier today, RBC reported, citing three sources in the payment market, that the Central Bank sent banks a new form of reporting on money transfers between individuals, according to which the Bank of Russia will request information about such transactions, including personal data of senders and recipients of transfers.
The representative of the Central Bank explained to the publication that such a form of reporting is being introduced in order to optimize the presentation of information by banks and to receive up-to-date data.
