Details have emerged of the beating of Olympic figure skating champion Dmitry Solovyov. This is reported in the Telegram channel "Match TV".

The athlete received a severe head injury. He is in a state of moderate severity. This was reported to the representative of the channel by Russian curler Anna Sidorova. She went to the hospital to Solovyov.

The attack on Solovyov became known earlier on December 21. The 32-year-old figure skater stood up for Sidorova, after which he was attacked. He is in the neurosurgical department of Botkin Hospital. The attackers were arrested on the spot.

Solovyov is known for his performances in ice dancing paired with Ekaterina Bobrova. They became Olympic champions in 2014, and won silver at the Pyeongchang competitions.
